Hi SPN,

you just have to double click on the reg file if file ending is connected to regedit. If not click and execute it with regedit, then Win adds the entry to his registry.

By the way, you have to use the 32bits ODBC to swith the server name for ONLINE open of repository : (C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe )...and when you are done the ODBC admin fill crash ( but the modifications are still!!!!)

I have been working in BI since 15 years and used stuff from many software vendors, but with Oracle, the REAL Power is community and blogs like yours...that is true power !

Hi Andreas,

I had the requiement to use Admintool in Windows 7 x64 and based on your technique : i works!

Only, there is 2 ODBC branches in registry that you have to document, so there is the one you pointed out and this one with exactly the same content :

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\ODBC\ODBC.INI\....]

( Something strange with Microsoft...a surprise...not really ) They put ODBC 32 bits in SySWoW64 and ODBC 64 bits in system32.

the files are uploaded as text files again. Problem was that the browser was not able to display .reg correctly.
